Even though I have had my own bedroom for almost nine years, it hasn't always felt quite like my own or somewhere where I wanted to spend a few hours in when I'm not sleeping in it. After almost nine years, now it feels more like my own and somewhere where I want to spend a few hours in during the day whether doing schoolwork or just surfing the web on my laptop.
Last Thursday, my mom and I went to Big Lots and bought one of those swivel chairs for my desk, a 3-shelf bookcase at Target, and a desk lamp at Office Depot. I always have a desk in my room but I couldn't use it because I had all of my college schoolwork stored under it in these red crates and had stuff kept all over the top of the desk. My room is the smallest bedroom in the house so I had to use every available space to store my things. So, since I have a bookcase now, I moved some of the stuff that was on my desk to the bookcase to make room on my desk so that I could finally have room to work on it now and a comfortable chair to sit on. I moved the red crates that has all my college work to another place in my room. My room looks so much nicer now and I love it. My room finally feels right now. I'm happy and excited about it. :)
On another topic, I went to Borders today to buy a few books. I purchased four Nicholas Sparks books: Nights in Rodanthe, The Wedding, True Believer, and Message in a Bottle. I have always loved Nicholas Sparks' books and the movies but ever since Dear John has come out with a movie earlier this year and the movie for The Last Song is coming out next Wednesday, I want to read every book that he has ever written so far that I haven't read yet. I have read A Walk to Remember, Dear John, and The Last Song and am currently reading The Notebook. My goal is to read all four books that I purchased today during the summer and hopefully be able to purchase his other books and read them all by the end of the year. Hopefully, I'll be able to do it.
